    This and parkour will be in the summer Olympics by 2020.

    @Murphix – that comment had me looking through the history of Summer Olympic events..

    man, to have seen an Olympic Tug-o-War back in 1920…

    now, the ‘edgiest’ Olympic events I could see were BMX Racing and Beach Volleyball. Both added in 1996.

    you’d think Parkour would be a better fit with the X Games crowd, but i can find nothing about it even being demo’ed there

    last fact: Gliding was a demo sport in 1936. so our winged friends actually have an Olympic precedent.

    I wouldn’t classify Parkour as grinding, but it most definitely has Next Big Thing status.
