I’m enamoured of this series. The business breakdowns, on top of the subject matter, the extremely plausible cautionary tale nature of the whole thing. I love it all.
Finding funding is, I think, a source of worry for more people than we like to think, right now, and the fear of losing project control is very real…
this is yet another reason why in such a short time Hickman has become one of my favorite writer/artists. His work truly is different from that of most traditional comic books. The inner workings of his footnotes, (as in Nightly News and Pax Romana) and in the case of Transhuman a fictional documentary.
And did anyone catch the nod to Grant Morrison’s We3? it’s one panel but it jumped out at me. An interesting nod to a possible influence :).

That nod made me laugh, so hard.
heh yeah i was greatly amused by it myself. almost as if this series could potentially be a spin off of We3.
