DIY lifestreaming sunglasses
One man’s pervy spycam is another man’s lifestreaming device.
Remember when phone-cams first came out and you could not disable the annoying faux-camera-click? Yeah, that lasted about a year. Being out in public in today’s world means almost certainly being photographed in the background of someone’s quick holiday snap, not too mention the increasing spread of CCTVs.
So, want to get easily add video to your lifestream, as you go about some cool activity. For around $40? Then check out this guide from Instructables:

Unless you live in East Asia, where it’s illegal to have a mobile phone without it! (and the only communities I’ve ever found on the net that look for hacks to remove it—open the phone and cut this wire, which also kills your ringtone kind of deals—seem to be entirely made up of perverts).
I’m liking the look of the USB spycam (webcam + laptop) on Instructables. I just got a Eee 901 which runs nice and cool, it’s looking more and more like a wearable every day..
@GAPS – crap, I’ll have to be careful when I’m over in Japan with my N95.. don’t want that getting confiscated! Thx for the heads-up!!!
Nah, that’s nothing to be worried about. I believe the illegality is based primarily on manufacturers having to follow guidelines that specifically make it difficult to switch off the camera noise than it is to actually own a cameraphone without sound.
Now, if you get caught taking upskirt photos of schoolgirls, then you’ll be in trouble.
But it’s the increase in this kind of tech that makes me wonder why people even bother putting up no ‘no photography’ signs, or stop you taking photos in stores. Because within a few years, you won’t be able to tell, and perhaps it might even go so far as to people arguing in court that they legally have a right to their experiences, and photography bans are an affront to that right.
Thats cool I want to make some now.
I might get my self into trouble but :)
