I never imagined it before being confronted to the machine itself. Then again, maybe I was too young to be imagining such things. What I know though, is that I became addicted pretty much instantly.
I think that the use of the phrase “lifeless machine” is not only a pleonasm, but an attempt at derogating our lifestyle. The fact that machines are lifeless is not a valid point against their usage.
That would probably creep me the fuck out if that popped up on my computer.
