Heh, there's not actually an awful lot of caffeine in each "shot." The ENTIRE cannister (containing two or three dozen individual doses) has about as much caffeine (100mg) as a single shot of espresso, or two Pro Plus tablets. I normally start my day with twice that, and if the manufacturer's claim that this does not go into your lungs, but is instead swallowed and absorbed is correct, then you're better off sticking to the coffee. Or, for that matter, just buying some pure caffeine (which you can do online, entirely legally, in most places (the UK certainly being one)) and adding that to your drink of choice.
WARNING – don't be a dick with this. a) pure caffeine, being an alkaloid tastes kind of bitter, and b) too much can totally kill you. A 400mg dose (I don't drink coffee – you may have greater tolerance than me, but be careful) made me feel decidedly not cool for a few minutes until I'd walked it off a bit, and I continued to feel wired in a not pleasant way for a couple of hours. I wouldn't go higher except with serious caution.
But given my low tolerance, but still generally not feeling much effect until I've had an amount of caffeine equivalent to an entire one of these things, I'm inclined to think there's a fair amount of suggestion playing a role here too. Of course, if you were to get the caffeine into your body *some other way* than orally, then I guess your results might differ…
I got a sample of this a few months ago and found it to be the worst way to take in caffeine. Basically grind up a vivarin and take a huff – aspirin taste and all. Nice idea, but there's no actual aerosol-type mist to this. It's powder.
